Every year a pair of wild ducks visit our bird feeder along with many other birds , for their daily meal of cracked corn.
.They arrive in late winter and leave when it is nesting time. I don't know their permanent address, but I suspect they live by the river nearby.
Only once did mama duck parade her young teenagers to our little pond. The proud mommy and her kids swam a few rounds on our little pond and paraded right back where they came from.
Fortunately they like their picture taken. They almost seem to pose . No wonder, they are beautiful!!

Spring is here??
I could not believe my eyes that this little bunch of crocos had actually opened today. I had observed it carefully every day. I mean it's pretty exciting to see your first flower in the new year of thousands of flowers.
So this little bunch wins the honors . The interesting thing is how the camera sees these crocus. Depending on the light and the position it gives us the impression as if they were different colored crocus. In reality is all one little bunch.

Wonderful Frogs.
I am missing my frogs, the ones which are still sleeping in the mud at the bottom of my pond and the ones which have graced my life in the past with their beauty.
Yes , I think they are beautiful. But then I also think snakes are beautiful. And spiders!! :)
In any case: they are extremely photogenic. They are also very easy to photograph, unlike grasshoppers or bees or butterflies who would rather be elsewhere instead in front of my camera.
Here are some of my lovely frogs from the past. But who knows, maybe they are still around and have not passed. The problem is, that they all look alike.

The joy of Drawing
Drawing has become my most favorite way of expressing myself in Art. It is joyful. It is relaxing . It is like meditation. Drawing is even known to lower Blood Pressure.
This blog is for my friends and family who do not have face book ,where these pictures are also posted.
For some, this might be a welcome change from all the photos.
There is so much beauty around us and I like to capture it and share it in whichever mode it is possible for me. And I love doing it!!

My Orchid Garden
Orchids are wonderful. They bloom in Winter, when the outdoor gardens are sleeping. As a matter of fact, some of mine bloom all year around.I have had many varieties, but the Phaleanopsis are the hardiest. Here are some specimens which have graced my solarium over the years.
